The event as advertised...
Committee member Simon Briscoe is organising this fun event for adult & child pairs at Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club, which will be open to all qualifying members free of charge (where only the child is a member their adult family member can take part via payment of a £4 guest fee). The event in Pen-y-ffordd will be held on Sunday 19th April 2015 from 12.15pm until around 2.15pm.
To quote from the LTA's own literature...
We are really excited about the new Quorn Family Tennis Cup. This event is a great opportunity for all LTA registered venues to stage an informal, fun tennis competition where children aged 10&U play doubles with an adult family tennis member* on a red court.
Quorn, a new commercial partner of LTA, encourages families to play tennis more often and to eat healthy food to complement an active lifestyle.
Not only will it be a fun-filled competition for your members, but the winners of each Red Ball competition will be invited to play other winners at an LTA Grass Court event. Winning pairs will be invited to a day out on the qualifying weekend of the Aegon Manchester Trophy, Aegon Open Nottingham, Aegon Ilkley Trophy, Aegon Classic Birmingham, Aegon International Eastbourne, or Aegon Surbiton Trophy.
*Children born 1 Sep 2004 or later, adult is 18+ including parent, carer, guardian, step parent, co-parent, uncle, auntie, sibling or grandparent.
