The President of the LTA sends her thanks...

The club has received an e-mail from Cathie Sabin following her visit at the end of January, so just to share this with everyone...

"Dear Nigel, Dave and Mike

This is a very belated but nonetheless a very sincere thank you for looking after me so well when I visited Pen-y-ffordd last month. Since then I have mentioned on many occasions how Pen-y-ffordd, as a local community-based club, generates so much passion and enthusiasm and offers something for everyone.

Just talking to your Committee and members demonstrated the value everybody puts on the club and this is because you and the Committee put in so much time and effort to make things work.

I hope to visit you again when your courts are redone and perhaps we can play a game of tennis!

I was most impressed with the coaching programme and, in particular, the mentoring scheme supporting younger coaches.

Many thanks again for your time and a particular thank you to the youngsters who brought around the lovely Mars Bar crispies!

Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved, you have a great club there with a big heart.
